Pillich makes stop in Warren

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A woman making a pitch for the Ohio treasurer’s office made a stop in Warren on Friday.

Democratic candidate Connie Pillich met with women voters for a round table discussion at the Mocha House on N. High Street.

Pillich will face Republican incumbent Josh Mandel in the fall. She says it’s time to take the politics out of the treasurer’s office and root out the waste and corruption and install independent oversight.

“I spent eight years in the military. I was captain in the United States Air Force, and that is where I learned there is no Democratic way or Republican way of doing things, there is just the right way. That’s the kind of leadership I want to bring to the treasurer’s office,” Pillich said.

Pillich is a ranking member of the Military and Veteran Affairs committee in the 28th Ohio House District.
