New Castle PD still searching for burglary suspect

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) – New Castle Police continue to search for a burglary suspect, who they originally thought to have drowned in the Shenango River.

Investigators say 19-year old Christopher Jackson called his mother to tell her he is okay.

Police say Jackson is one of two Pittsburgh men who broke into a jewelry store last Tuesday morning, then jumped into the river to get away.

Police already have another man suspected of robbing the store, Devin Sims, in custody.
