Patrol investigates Boardman crash

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Boardman police are looking for a vehicle that caused a motorcycle crash Sunday night on Market Street.

The accident happened about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Market and Meadowbrook avenues.

Witnesses told the Ohio State Highway Patrol that a car traveling south on Market street turned left onto Meadowbrook, cutting off the motorcyclist, who was traveling north on Market Street. The motorcyclist crashed and was thrown off the bike. He was not wearing a helmet.

A trooper said the victim suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Investigators are checking surveillance video from area businesses to see if they can identify the other vehicle involved.

Witnesses also told the the patrol that the driver of the car appeared to be tall, that he was wearing a green shirt and had a mustache.
