Arrest made in Warren homicide

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren police have made an arrest in connection with the death of Dominic Bufano on Thursday in Warren.

Police arrested Greg Brewer on Wednesday, charging him with murder.

Authorities said someone stabbed Bufano before he died, but did not confirm his stab wounds as the cause of death on Monday.

Police said shortly after the attack, one of the suspects was seen walking away from the crime scene along the area where that knife was discovered. It is not clear if Brewer was that suspect.

Police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Bingham Avenue N.W. just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Donita Bufano, 85, who is wheelchair bound, heard a disturbance downstairs. She called police and said her son was beaten.

Police found Dominic Bufano, 55, dead from some sort of trauma, noting he sustained puncture wounds from the attack.
