Youngstown Diocese plans future

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Office of Evangelization for the Youngstown Diocese is currently holding local meetings and looking toward the future.

All the information gathered will be pulled together for the General Assembly in November.

Bishop George Murry said the purpose is for the church to have a specific plan for what it wants to focus on in the future.

“Sometime people will say we need to emphasize youth. Other times people will say we need  to emphasize education; well both of those are important and we have to look at those to see what can we reasonably do with the resources that we have to evangelize to reach out to others,” said Murry.

Father Nick Shori is in charge of organizing meetings leading up to the General Assembly.
