Numbers strong at Canfield Fair

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – There’s still one day to go, but the folks who run the Canfield Fair are already more than happy with attendance numbers.

According to organizers, this year’s fair is on pace to surpass last year’s attendance by more than 6,000, making it one of the most successful outings in recent memory.

“This has probably been our best fair in the past five years attendance wise,” said Admission Director Timm Schreiber.

Also on Sunday, the Eastern Regional Kidney Foundation was educating fairgoers on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

“The problem is obesity and our diets. There may be some genetic link , but that’s very soft type 2 diabetes,” said Dr. Augustine Biscardi.

The fair continues Monday with draft horse and harness racing at the grandstand. Country music singer Justin Moore will perform at 8 p.m.
