Projects could delay motorists

SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) – Projects in Salem and Boardman could delay motorists beginning Tuesday.

Norfolk Southern is closing eight railroad crossings in Salem for repairs.

The crossings are at Allen Road, West Wilson Street, Newgarden Road, Mullins Street, South Ellsworth Avenue, and Cunningham Road. These 6 crossings will be closed until the needed repairs are made.

Crossings at West Pershing and South Lincoln Ave will remain closed until September 15.

Detour signs will be posted for motorists.

A road in Mill Creek Park will be closed to traffic beginning Tuesday. West Golf Drive from Shields Road to the golf course will be getting new storm drainage and repaving. The road will be closed for up to eight weeks.

Golfers will have to access the course from Route 224.
