Traffic open after North Jackson truck rollover

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio (WKBN) – A dump truck driver who crashed on Interstate 76 Tuesday morning was not seriously injured, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Canfield.

The crash happened about 10 a.m. on I-76 eastbound, just west of North Bailey Road.

Traffic was shut down to one lane for about a half hour while rescue workers helped make sure the man was safe. The patrol said one of the truck’s tires exploded and sent the truck skidding up the embankment off the right side of the eastbound lanes.

The driver’s name was not released, but he was taken to the hospital. The  cause of the crash still is under investigation.
