Yo. redistricting amendment to be considered

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Tuesday, the Youngstown City Council will consider placing a charter amendment on November’s ballot.

A citizens’ group wants to reduce the number of city wards from seven to five.

The group has collected enough signatures to put it on the ballot, and by law, council must decide whether or not to approve it by Friday.

Council meets at 4:30 this afternoon and WKBN will have a report on their decision during our 6 p.m. newscast.
