Business helps small businesses succeed

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A brand new business is helping entrepreneurs start their own business. is a service-based website. CEO Jennifer Shima and her husband Mark started the business when she moved here and couldn’t find a job. The goal is to help people work right in their own community, providing resources to get their name and product out there. 

On Friday, it held a launch event at the Youngstown Business Incubator to tell people what it’s all about. So far, it has 20 new service businesses signed up.

The CEO said she sees a lot of potential for the Mahoning Valley.

“This is a really incredible place here in the Mahoning Valley, just full of talented people and we really feel if we give them the opportunity to create something they have always dreamed of having, that we’re going to lift ourselves up and lift each other up by working for each other,” Shima said.

The website hopes to have 200 small businesses signed up by the end of the weekend.
