Dr. Shayesteh: Becoming heart attack proof

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Dr. Shayesteh said that although no one can truly prevent a heart attack, there are lifestyle changes that people can make to reduce their risk.

He said losing weight, especially around the abdomen, is the number one way to cut a person’s risk of heart disease. The others are lowering blood pressure, eating healthier, getting more exercise and not smoking.
