Police investigate Youngstown stabbing

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police are investigating a stabbing on the city’s west side.

Officers were called about 4:30 a.m. Friday to a home on Portland Avenue where they found a woman, her 19-year-old daughter and a 40-year-old man injured.

The man suffered a stab wound to his stomach. The woman was also stabbed, but it is not clear how severe her injuries were. Police said the stabbing happened during an argument between the two. The teen was injured when she attempted to intervene. All three were taken to Saint Elizabeth Health Center.

The male victim is in stable condition. The woman was expected to be treated and released. There was no information on the 19-year-old female.
