Suspect indicted in Family Dollar robbery

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown man was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury Thursday on aggravated robbery charges.

Dennis Ray, 53, of Youngstown was indicted on one count of aggravated robbery, three weapons charges and burglary in connection to the July 14 armed robbery of the Family Dollar store on Market Street in Youngstown.

According to court documents, Ray walked into the store carrying a 12 gauge shotgun and demanded money.

Ray faces additional firearm charges because of a 2013 drug trafficking conviction.

He is also charged with forcing his way into the home of a woman. An address was not listed in the court document.
