STEM wraps up at Oh WOW Science Center

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) –The Oh Wow Center wrapped up its Seven Days of STEM today with a massive science fair in downtown Youngstown.

It was called Silly Science Sunday and featured everything from robots and building activities to bees and cow milking stations.

Despite its name, the purpose was very serious — promoting the importance of science and mathematics in education.

“We have over 30 exhibitors and demonstrators here today all promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics throughout our community,” Suzanne Barbati, OH WOW, president.

Events held earlier this week included a robotics tournament, a digital scavenger hunt and a session on the importance of locally produced food.

This was the fourth year for the event.
