Urn stolen in Warren burglary

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) –  A Warren woman is pleading to the people who broke into her North Feederle Avenue home to return the urn they stole that contained her father’s ashes.

Kayla Trumbull left home about 5 p.m. Friday and said when she returned home Saturday morning, she noticed her back door was kicked in and several items, including her laptop, Wii and flat-screen television, were gone. They even stole the food from her refrigerator.

The burglars also stole a gold box with praying hands on it that contained her father’s ashes. She is asking that the urn be returned, no questions asked.

“You can even take it to a church and leave it there. If they see the news, they can bring it back,” Trumbull said. “I was a daddy’s girl and for that to be taken, that hurts the most because that is something I can’t get back.”

She said the urn is the only thing she wants back and does not care about the electronics that were taken.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warren police at 330-394-2521.
