Route 718 bridge open in Hermitage

HERMITAGE, Pa. (WKBN) – The Route 718 bridge over Big Run in Hermitage is open.

The bridge was reopened Thursday following the replacement of a structurally deficient bridge at the site. It has been closed since June 23.

Over 3,000 vehicles cross the bridge on a daily basis.

The new structure is expected to last about 100 years.

Total cost for the replacement bridge was about $562, 645.
