Group works to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — Raising awareness and money for Alzheimer’s. That’s what a group in Warren did Saturday as they walked Perkins Park.

Every year, more than 600 cities across the country hold “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”.

Helen Paes said Warren has raised much more money for the cause this year compared to last.

“The Warren Trumbull County walk has been very successful. We have come a long way even from last year. We raised a lot more money,” said Paes, the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater East Ohio area.

It’s estimated there are 5.4 million Americans living with the disease.
