Columbiana officer resigns amid misconduct allegations

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – A Columbiana police officer is off the job facing allegations of sexual misconduct.

The Morning Journal reports that Tab Bailey has resigned and the state is investigating.

Police Chief Tim Gladis said two women told him that Bailey was sexting and engaging in other sexual behavior while on duty.

Bailey was with the Columbiana Police Department for 22 years.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation could file criminal charges, including telecommunication harassment, menacing or stalking.
