Driver reaching for apple rolls semi

SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (WKBN) – A distracted driver caused an accident Sunday morning in Trumbull County.

State troopers in Warren said the driver of a tractor-trailer told them he was reaching for an apple in his cab when he lost control of his rig.

It happened just after 9 a.m. on Route 422 in Southington, just north of Route 305.

The tractor-trailer went into a ditch and rolled onto its side.

The driver, who was hauling fruit smoothies, was not injured.
