EGCC asks for public input in search for president

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A series of three forums are underway to help Eastern Gateway Community College select a new president.

Two open houses were held Thursday in Youngstown and Columbiana County.

The search committee is asking members of the community to help define the next president’s role. Attendees were asked to share what qualities they felt were most important.

“Student access is the goal, but how you get there has many facets involved,” said John Gilmore, EGCC board of trustees.

The next open house is scheduled for Friday in Steubenville.
