Columbiana County auditor cleared, complaint thrown out

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio Elections Commission Thursday tossed out a complaint filed against Columbiana County Auditor Nancy Milliken.

Milliken was charged by a former employee with breaking state campaign laws, claiming her financial statements contained incorrect information.

Among his accusations, Brian Fullum claimed Milliken was listed as a sponsor for a recent event at the Kent State campus in Salem.

During Thursday’s hearing, the auditor produced documents from campus executives admitting they had made mistakes including her name in the sponsorship list.

Commission members ruled they found no violation and dismissed the claim.
