County worker escorted off the job, put on paid leave

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – An employee with the Trumbull County Engineer’s office was escorted off the job this week.

Anthony Johnson was walked off the job Tuesday by a supervisor and a Trumbull County Sheriff’s deputy. Johnson was presented with a letter before he was escorted out.

The 15-year county veteran is on paid administrative leave.

Trumbull County Engineer Randy Smith said Johnson was put on leave because of a medium-sized diesel spill at the engineer’s offices.
