YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown Police Department still does not know what led to the deaths of two women in the city on Saturday.
They were found inside a home, over the weekend, and detective say so far there appears to be no criminal activity. There is no ongoing criminal investigation into the death’s.
The victims, an 86-year-old woman and her 58-year-old daughter, were found in a home on Mercer Street on Saturday.
A relative says he last had contact with them a few days before the sad discovery.
Detectives found no sign of foul play and no evidence of a drug overdose or suicide.
The Youngstown Fire Department checked a new furnace in the home but did not detect any carbon monoxide, a deadly gas.
Officials said a toxicology report, which would show if any toxic chemicals led to the death of the women, would take at least two weeks.
