Boardman stadium project gets boost from Rotary

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Boardman Stadium project got a boost on Tuesday from the Boardman Rotary Club.

A $10,000 check was presented to the Stadium Committee and the flag pole will now be named after the Rotary. There has been a lot of progress at the stadium over the past year, including the installation of turf.

The committee said approximately $1.5 million is still needed for the project.

“We have a focus of committees, etc., individuals just pushing so that we can get some contracts in the spring and have this completely done by next fall,” said Boardman Booster Club President Bill Bonte.

The goal of the $3.5 million project is to have home and visitor stands, concession stands and restrooms.
