Vigil held for hit and run victim

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Family and friends gathered Monday night to remember Keith Rogers, one of the men who was killed in a hit-and-run accident Thanksgiving morning.

There were a lot of tears, hugs and praise at the memorial.

Christina Waver, the daughter of David Williams, the other victim of the deadly accident, was in Youngstown from Cincinnati for the holidays and was at Monday night’s vigil.

“I really am going to truly miss my daddy. He was my best friend. I got to, ya know, take this thing day by day,” Waver said.

Witnesses to the accident said that the car Rogers and two others were in was hit by a semi-truck that left the scene.

The driver, Ronald Davis, was also involved in the accident. He was taken to a Cleveland area hospital with serious injuries.

Youngstown police confirmed Tuesday morning that they have located a red semi-truck they believe was involved in the accident. The crash is still under investigation.
