Austintown plant fire damage was significant

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A fire at the Custom Metal Works plant on Victoria Road in Austintown caused $600,000 in damage.

The fire broke out about 4:30 a.m. Friday at the back of the building. Custom Metal Works is a steel fabrication plant.

Several employees were evacuated, but no one was injured. The cause is under investigation.

That area of Victoria Road had to be shut down because the water used to put out the flames caused some icy conditions.
