Emergency turnpike repairs delaying W. Pa. travel

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Emergency retaining-wall repairs are temporarily closing a lane of the eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike near Pittsburgh.

Officials say lane restrictions Tuesday between mile markers 44 and 46 are causing delays of 15 to 20 minutes.

They say the project and related delays could last into the afternoon.

The Turnpike Commission is providing updated travel information on http://www.paturnpike.com and at 866-976-TRIP (8747).
