OSHP identifies Southington accident victim

SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released the name of a pedestrian killed Tuesday evening in a fatal traffic accident.

Police identified the victim as Kevin Kellar, 27, of Warren, Ohio.

Police said a 1989 Chevy pickup that was traveling westbound on state Route 305 near the U.S. Route 422 overpass struck Kellar and killed him. The victim was walking west in the westbound lane near the center line, according to the patrol.

The driver of the pickup, Scott Williams, 18, of Southington, was not injured. Kellar died at the scene, and police said he did not have any identification on him.

The road was closed for four hours following the crash.
