Angels for Animals urges would-be pet-owners to adopt

BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) — A four legged friend is popular holiday gift.

One Beaver Township animal shelter said the holidays is also a good idea to consider adopting an animal.

Angels for Animals has cats and dogs that need permanent homes. The shelter said this time of year is perfect for some families because they’re at home more than usual.

“A lot of people are having maybe two short work weeks or two weeks off of work, and  for a lot of people this is a time when they’re home and a good time to adjust an animal,” said Diane Less of Angels for Animals.

Genevieve, a calico cat, is up for adoption, as well as Camden, a boxer dog.
