Blue Light Week set in Hubbard

Blue Light Week set in Hubbard

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – The mothers of two Hubbard police officers are drumming up support for the men in blue.

Patti Pagano and Christina Moffitt will be distributing 200 blue light bulbs on Friday at the Hubbard City Building from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pagano would like to see the bulbs displayed in the windows of homes in the city and around the Valley as part of Blue Light Week, from now until Jan. 7 to support the local police.

The bulbs are free, but they are accepting donations.

“Any money that is left over from anything else or extra purchase of bulbs, we are going to give to the FOP in Hubbard, It’s just been wonderful. I have had people calling me, facebooking that yes, we support them and I just hope it continues to show,” Pagano said.

Blue light bulbs also can be purchased at any local hardware store. Pagano also is encouraging people to attend the Hubbard City Council meeting dressed in blue on Monday to show support for local police.
