YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Christmas season came to a close Sunday evening at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Youngstown.
It was the 54th annual Boar’s Head and Yule Log festival. They celebrate every year on the Sunday closest to Epiphany.
The serving of the Boar’s Head represents the triumph of Christ over evil.
This particular festival started in 1961 and includes a pageant with more than 100 members of the church dressed in elaborate costumes.
After the performances, everyone enjoyed a roast beef dinner.
