2 YPD officers promoted

The Youngstown Police Department promoted two officers Thursday

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A pair of Youngstown police officers received new titles Thursday after being promoted within the department.

Youngstown Mayor John McNally and Police Chief Robin Lees were there Thursday morning in City Council Chambers and promoted 20-year department veteran Ramon Cox from Detective Sergeant to the rank of Lieutenant.

Cox started with the force in 1994, and was promoted to Detective Sergeant in 2006.

And Chad Zubal was promoted from the rank of Patrolman to the rank of Detective Sergeant.

Zubal has been with the Youngstown Police Department since September of 2000.
