Crews save home from garage fire

CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Seven fire departments responded to a house fire in Cortland Wednesday.

Crews were called to a house on Denman Avenue about 12:15 p.m. When crews arrived, the attached garage of the home was engulfed in flames.

Crews were able to stamp out the fire before it did major damage to the house.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The garage was destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Crews from Bazetta, Howland, Johnston, Mecca and Station 10 from the 910th Airlift Wing assisted.
