Firefighter arraigned on pandering charges

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Beloit man who works as a firefighter in Alliance is free on bond after being arraigned Tuesday morning in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Douglas Miner, 41, faces 16 counts of pandering obscenity involving a child as well as one count of tampering with evidence. Prosecutors said Miner used video equipment to record a 15-year-old girl in a bathroom and then tried to hide the images after investigators seized his computer and cell phone.

Goshen Township Police said after the recording, Miner made several photos from the video. He was arrested Dec. 31 by Goshen police.

Police said Miner and the victim know each other.

His trial is set for March.
