WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The city of Warren and Trumbull County are facing another lawsuit from a traffic crash two years ago that killed six teenagers.
Family members of a teenager killed in Trumbull County’s deadliest road fatality filed a wrongful death lawsuit Wednesday against both the city and county.
According to our print partners at the Tribune Chronicle, this latest suit was filed on behalf of 14-year-old Brandon Murray. Murray was one of eight teens riding in a speeding SUV in March of 2013 that went off of Pine Avenue, hit a guardrail, and flipped upside down into a pond.
Two passengers survived. Murray’s family is the fourth to file a lawsuit over the crash, and like the previous ones, they cite maintenance of the road as an issue that contributed to the accident.
Both the city and county engineering departments are also named as defendants.
Spokesmen for both the city’s law department and county prosecutor’s office would not comment until they had a chance to review the lawsuit.
