AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Local leaders got some insight Tuesday on how to entice businesses to their areas.
The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber hosted a site selection presentation for elected officials, city managers and township administrators. Chamber officials educated them on how to make their communities more attractive to companies.
The chamber talked about what companies look for when considering a location, and also gave do’s and don’ts in how to assist in creating jobs.
“Normally, we are contacted by a company and there is an inquiry about property. Knowing what is available in each community regarding land, in addition to buildings, is definitely a mandatory item. We work really hard to put that full package of information together,” said Sarah Boyarko of the Regional Chamber
The presentation is part of the Chamber’s effort to help community leaders understand and assist in the Valley’s economic growth. The Chamber will have two other night sessions later this month.
