Campbell High School administrator placed on leave

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – An administrator at Campbell Memorial High School has been placed on paid leave, but it is unclear why.

Campbell City Schools Superintendent Matthew Bowen said that since the district is a public employer, they must follow the appropriate procedures in the investigation of allegations of misconduct by a staff member. It is the high school principal that has been placed on leave.

“As a public employer, Campbell City Schools must follow the appropriate procedures in the investigation of allegations of misconduct by a staff member. We do not rush to judgment or cater to rumors. Instead we endeavor to take the time necessary to determine the facts and make decisions based on the information before us. Nevertheless, an administrator has been placed on leave pending completion of the investigation. On the advice of Board counsel we believe it to be imprudent to comment further,” Bowen said in a statement.

Bowen could not release any more information.
