shannon pavlansky-wojtowicz arrested after being charged with sexual battery

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – A former Campbell Memorial High School teacher has been arrested in connection with an investigation regarding an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student.

Shannon Pavlansky-Wojtowicz, 30, of Campbell, turned herself in to the Campbell Police Department Friday afternoon after a warrant for her arrest was issued on a felony charge of sexual battery, according to the office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine.

Agents with DeWine’s Crimes Against Children Unit, which is a division of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, began investigating Pavlansky-Wojtowicz in January after the Campbell Police Department received a tip regarding the alleged inappropriate relationship.

She was placed on unpaid leave Jan. 19 pending the investigation and resigned on Feb. 3. She was employed with the district since 2009.

Campbell Schools Superintendent Matt Bowen filed a complaint with the police department Jan. 16.
