Sunday marks final day to enroll in health insurance

Health overhaul penalty
Millions try to avoid penalty for not having health insurance.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Sunday will mark the last chance to enroll for 2015 coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

Applicants have until midnight to sign up for health insurance on the federal marketplace.

They don’t have to complete the application, but they must at least start it by the deadline.

The federal exchange and some states, like California and New York, are allowing those who have been working on an application a few more days to finish picking a plan.

Those who do not have health insurance face financial penalties.
