Man killed in Ohio Turnpike crash

A man was killed in a crash on the Ohio Turnpike in Erie County, Ohio.

ERIE COUNTY, Ohio (WKBN) – An accident on the Ohio Turnpike killed a man from Northwest Ohio.

The accident happened on I-80 in Erie County.

The eastbound lanes of the turnpike were shut down as crews worked to clear the accident.

Troopers think Jose Ramon Leal Jr., 21, lost control of his car, hit a guardrail and then went in front of the two other cars and tractor-trailer.

The man who died was not wearing a seat belt.
