Newton Falls Band holds fundraiser

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WKBN) —  The Newton Falls Band Boosters were out in full force Sunday to help the band buy new uniforms.

Held at Face’s Lounge in Newton Falls, the event included a basket raffle, live auction and carry-out food.

According to band instructor Heather Criazzo, the uniforms the band is using now are about 25 years old.

This was just the latest in a number of events the club has held to reach its goal.

“We’re hoping that this is going to be the big push that will allow us to place the orders and get them as soon as possible,” said Criazzo.

Criazzo said that it will cost about $35,000 to outfit the entire band.
