AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio State Highway Patrol officers are investigating an incident in which a truck spilled 3,000 gallons of processed sewage onto Route 46 in Austintown Wednesday morning.

According to a release from the OSHP, a commercial truck braked for a stoplight, causing the load it was carrying to shift and spill. The incident did not injure anyone, according to police.

The spill backed up traffic traveling southbound on 46 for a time.

The Austintown Fire Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation helped with the cleanup.
