West Middlesex girls heading to D-10 Final

The West Middlesex girls basketball team celebrates after beating Cambridge Springs Wednesday night.

SHARON, PA (WYTV) РAlthough they trailed for most of the game, the West Middlesex girls basketball team grinded out a win Wednesday night 46-43 over Cambridge Springs to earn their first ever birth to the District 10 final.

Gretchen Elsey hit a couple big three pointers down the stretch for the Big Reds and led the team in scoring with 12 while Noelle Murray sealed the deal from the free throw line in the closing seconds. Murray was also in double-figures with 10 points.

West Middlesex will play either Harbor Creek or Franklin in the AA title game.
