GALLIA CO., Ohio (CNN) – The Ohio state fire marshal’s office will investigate a large fire which engulfed the Gallia County Junior Fairgrounds in south-central Ohio Wednesday.
The fire sparked around 7 a.m. Wednesday. Flames and large plumes of smoke could be seen coming from the fairgrounds’ Commerical Building as firefighters worked to put out the blaze.
The building includes offices and an exhibit hall. It was completely destroyed by the fire.
A fair board member says they have lost all of the history and records that were in the office.
Firefighters say, at this point, they do not believe the cause of the fire is suspicious.
