Warren incubator gets more space

The Warren Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center got more space

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The former administration building of the old RG Steel plant in Warren will be used to house new business ventures in the city.

BDM Warren transferred the property to the Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center. TBEIC, which is pronounced T-Bike, will lease out the 56,000-square foot building to businesses looking for office space. BDM Warren will still occupy some of the building for its local operations.

“It is going to help the Tech Belt because it is going to provide ample laboratory space for testing equipment that they might now have other room for at their new Market Street location,” Warren Mayor Doug Franklin said.

The $3.3 million Tech Belt facility on Courthouse Square is expected to support clean technology as well as the creation of and storing of energy.
