House severely damaged in Columbiana fire, pet dies

A house was damaged and a pet was killed in a fire in Columbiana, Ohio.

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – A family in Columbiana lost their pet cat in a fire Monday afternoon.

Fire crews were called about 3:30 p.m. to the house on Fairfield School Road.

The homeowner found the house in flames.

The family’s two pets, a cat and a dog, were in the house at the time of the fire. The cat was killed. The dog survived.

No other injuries were reported.

The fire is still under investigation.
