Trumbull United Way surpasses fundraising goal

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Members of the United Way of Trumbull County spent some time volunteering with the Trumbull Mobile Meals program on Thursday.

They also used the occasion to announce they successfully surpassed their 2014 fundraising goal of $900,000 by securing more than $901,000 in pledges for the year. It is the second straight year for the accomplishment.

Typically the organization has one person serve as the campaign chairperson. But this year, they broke things down to attack their goal with a team effort.

“This year, we chose to have six on our campaign team, each of whom has a connection to the division they worked within,” Trumbull County United Way President and CEO Ginny Pasha said.

The 2014 campaign goal raised $50,000 more than the 2013 goal.
