LOS ANGELES – The Han Solo and Indiana Jones references are obvious after Harrison Ford, 72, crashed his plane Thursday on a California golf course.

The actor is recovering in the hospital Friday after the crash. His son, William Shatner, and a bevy of other celebrities took to Twitter to wish the actor well.

The accomplished pilot was flying a World War II-era plane when it lost engine power shortly after takeoff from Santa Monica Municipal Airport near Los Angeles.
