Former Mineral Ridge MS being torn down

WEATHERSFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Friday, crews are working to tear down the former Mineral Ridge Middle School, on Route 46 in Weathersfield.

There has been a school building in some form standing on this site since 1873, although it is currently not being used as a school.

Weathersfield dedicated its renovated high school and middle school buildings last fall, replacing the formerly-used facility.

Taxpayers approved a bond issue to help pay for $26 million in renovations.
