Anthony Pugh hit the game-winning layup as time expired to send McDonald to the District Finals

STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN)-McDonald’s Anthony Pugh scored the game-winning lay-up as time expired to cap off a huge comeback for the Blue Devils over Lowellville 69-67 in the Division IV District Semifinals Monday night.

It was the Rockets who controlled the majority of the game, using a 12-2 run at the beginning of the game, and then another 6-0 run at the start of the second half to give them a double-digit lead.

Paolo DePasquale led the way for Lowellville with 17 points while Alex Harklerode added 15.

McDonald’s Jake Reckard led all-scorers with 21 points while Pugh had 12.

The Blue Devils will play either St. Thomas Aquinas or Western Reserve in the Struthers District Final on Friday.
